Fire in Herriman

Last night there was a fire on the hill right above Herriman. The fire burned 10,000 acres but only 4 homes. It burned all the way down to everyone's back yards on the hill. We were 1/2 mile from the evacuation zone so thankfully we didn't have to leave. There was talk of us having to evacuate due to smoke inhalation, but the wind changed later that evening.

School

Today was the kids' first day at the charter school Merit Academy in Springville, UT. It takes us about 45 minutes to get there, but it is only once a week. They all had a great time.

Aubrie's classes are The Magic of Stories, Music, Spanish, I love America, Our Incredible Body, and Learning Games. Aiden has Nature Studies, American History, Chess, Spanish, and Learning Games. Chase has Chemistry, History, Art, Spanish, and Self-defense. The school also gives us money to buy curriculum for home and educational supplies.
