Aiden's baptism

Aiden was baptized and confirmed Saturday, January 2, 2010. Grandma and Grandpa Shelton had been here for a few days, then Tracie, Craig, and kids came on Friday night. Saturday afternoon Amy and her kids drove down with Michael and Jan. Aiden was so excited to get baptized and it was great to have everyone here. We ate, played the Farming Game, and went swimming at the hotel pool.

Allen & Laura

Jora, Julia, Aubrie

Chase, Jacob, Aiden

Allen and Laura drove west from Pittsburgh and stopped by for a day on their way to Phoenix. It was so great to see them since it had been at least three years. Allen and Aaron took the boys shooting today while the girls had a picnic at home. We can't wait to see if they move closer!

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas this year in Cedar City. New Years Eve we had a dinner party at our neighbors, Curtis and Treasa Anderson. Because we didn't get a chance to eat our dessert that night, they invited us again on Christmas Day for dinner and games and Wii Hunting.

GPA Festival

Last week was Aiden's "Festival" at Gateway Preparatory Academy. The kids sang a few songs and then we checked out their classrooms and Aiden's portfolio. He is doing well there and his teacher, Mrs. Kendall, says he is well-liked by his class. We're very proud of you Aiden!

Aiden's Birthday Sledding

For Aiden's 8th birthday, he wanted to go sledding. We took 7 of his friends up to Wood's Ranch (above Cedar City). Instead of birthday cake we had doughnuts and hot chocolate.

It was perfect except for the last run Chase and his friend Kai made. They hit a tree at the bottom of the hill and we had to pull Kai to the truck in a sled because he couldn't walk. Thankfully he is fine, but he gave us enough of a scare that I don't know if we will take a crowd of kids sledding again by ourselves!

Pioneer Christmas

Tonight we went to a "Pioneer Christmas" put on by a museum in Cedar. Each historic home had a different activity. The kids listened to stories, Aubrie made a pioneer doll, made sillhouettes, wrote Christmas cards with feather quills, used a printing press, visited Santa, and had apple cider and popcorn.

Parade and Santa with Haglers

Tracie, Trey, Teagan, and Gunner came with us to the Cedar City Children's Festival. We went to the parade that afternoon and went to the "North Pole" to see Santa that night. We all had so much fun.
