Aaron and I went on a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas, stopping in Nassau and Freeport.
Aaron at a fort in Nassau--we took a tour of the island. It was interesting to see all the different buildings and houses. They range from million dollar mansions to little shacks. It was also hard to get used to everyone driving on the "wrong" side of the road.
At Taino Beach in Freeport, Bahamas
We had different towel animals left for us each day on the ship.
A woman in Nassau at the open-air market. She was sewing Aubrie's name into a basket.
We signed up to take a tour. All of the other water excursions had been cancelled because of rough seas so we thought a boat like the one above would just take us around the harbor. Later, the boat below pulled up towing a banana boat to pick us up. We didn't have life jackets for the first 15 minutes, but passed another boat and got some. On the way out another boat motioned for us to go back because the waves were too big. We eventually made it out to the ocean for a ride with huge waves and I was sure we were going to capsize. It was pretty scary.
